‘The Snug’ is a beautifully crafted 16ft Blackdown shepherds hut, which is both spacious and airy and with a large south facing door and stunning views from both windows, there’s plenty of light. The addition of the woodburner in the corner makes sure that you are always warm and cosy when needs be.
The raised double bed at one end is both super comfortable and practical, having plenty of storage space for all your kit underneath and the sofa doubles up as a small bed with an extra bunk above. However, older children may be more excited sleeping in our 4m bell tent close by and sharing the comforts provided inside. For a full family adventure, why not take advantage of our Bed and Breakfast next door and invite Granny and Grandpa to come and stay too! At the other end of The Snug is a mains powered en-suite shower room and proper flushing toilet so you can forget the nightmare of struggling through the undergrowth in the middle of the night for a much needed comfort break. After all, this is glamping not camping!
Come for an entirely self catered stay, or alternatively we can offer a choice of either a continental breakfast hamper delivered to your door or traditional provisions from our own farm produce for you to rustle up a delicious breakfast yourselves. Collect your eggs from the nearby chicken coup and if you arrive late and frazzled from a busy week at work, book an evening meal, which will be left in your fridge for you to heat up at your leisure.
On warm evenings, light up the barbeque, gather round the firepit and simply gaze at the stars. On cooler ones take refuge in ‘The Hut’, our smaller but perfectly formed kitchen hut sitting nearby and wile away the hours playing board games from the selection inside. The Hut provides the living and dining space and all necessary mod cons for a complete self catered break away and together with The Snug makes an idyllic camp amongst the ancient oaks.
